Yes, the previous photo was taken along the Beamer. I shot it from just north of Palisades during a hike in October 2008.

Way to go Doug. A wide angle lens would not work to produce that perspective. Instead, that is 4 images at 'normal' perspective digitally stitched...

I was told that pinnacle is called the Flying Monkey, after the ones in "Wizard of Oz". So it has multiple popular names. Interesting since it sits right...
