fellow hikers...what Brady says is the rule followed at LF ( I think it is an extra PFD for every 10 people); I ALWAYS carry one or two extras in case I lose...

The PFD rule only requires a 16 person trip to carry 1 extra:( 8 person doesn't need an extra.
