I'll pile on here for Toroweap. I've been there a few times and it's really really nice. A few other points to add:
1 - the campground only has 8 spots...

If Point Sublime is too intimidating you might consider Marble Point.
It's a gravel road drive but well maintained, at least when we did it
last...

My hiking buddy and I visited Point Sublime twice. One about 12 years ago and the other about 4 years ago. The road was in much worse condition this...

BTW, the views from Point Sublime are truly sublime....it is a great destination...maybe someone can advise you on the more recent conditions with that...
