I'll recommend using Pete's Foodsack too. Mine was attacked by a squirrel at Bright Angel Campground and he couldn't get anything out; just tried really hard...

On our hike in May we had 4 Rat Sacks and 2 OutSaks. The Outsaks did seem to be made out of lighter mesh. One of the Outsaks was raided by a squirrel...
