crampons on north rim late May ?
I'm hiking into the canyon by Bill Hall trail in late May.
I don't have crampons and figure I won't need them.
Is there more than a remote chance I WILL need...

lodging near north rim ?
What are some good hotels/motels near the North Rim ?
Obviously the North Rim lodge is nice, but it tends to
be booked up. Is there anything else, besides...

Maps
A company called MAPTECH (www.maptech.com) has a CD out for the whole canyon.
Several different map types and scales are on it ( park service, USGS etc)....

I don't think you've got enough time to really explore...there are some
great ruins but can't be done day...
