Gotcha. You actually seem to be able to see the knob (pics 53-54) right next
to the River at the end of the ridge, while you're still standing at the creek....

I have both... a sat phone ( iridium ) and a Spot ( it was a gift ).. I take the sat phone always on the River but have only used it once or twice in 6 years....
