I should clarify my terminology before I get rightly flamed.
By "no hands" I mean no grabbing or pulling. I wouldn't exclude the wisdom of steadying oneself...

I think you both missed the easiest route. The slide is a walk up and a walk down, no hands except if you choose to use the rock face near the bottom to stay...

It seemed there was one place near the top of the slide that was nearly vertical. We were in the center and not on the left, but it seemed the only way. ...

The Papago slide is much better from West to East. I would hate to go down the Taulus slope again. Much easier to go up and it doesn't go as high as you may...
