I would skip any idea of caching water. If you are camped at Yuma Pt., it's not a long way back to the car. You might be able to do it with 2 quarts or so....

Pray for rain and the potholes at Yuma point will fill up and it won't be an issue. Haul enough to get you through a dry camp on Yuma, in case the rain...

Jan- A few thoughts... It is not really practical to cache water on a Hermit-Boucher loop as you go accross the other side of the Hermit Drainage on the way...
