Not recommended to hike below the rim in summer.
From personal experience I would definatly not recommend hiking anywhere in the canyon during mainly July or August. It can be very hot and not very humid....

I think those numbers I gave are a bit short. Probably more like 60-65 on the Tonto and 10-15 more for the rim to Tonto and return to rim trails for 70-80...
