Just to add my two cents and experience on the Royal Arch loop rappel...
To save on weight we took enough webbing to make harnesses and rapped on two strands...

in my previous post when i mentioned bringing 75 feet of rope i was not trying to imply using 11mm rope. i carry either a 7mm spectra or a 5mm tech cord. ...
