Randy- You can camp at the campsites on the North Rim when facilities are closed if you have a back country permit. I doubt availability would be a problem. ...

Bright Angel Cpgd and Phantom Ranch are both on the river and within 1/4 mile of each other. Is there an advantage to spending those 2 nights in different...

The planned hike on day 3 (Phantom Ranch to North Rim campground) is a pretty big day: 14 miles, 5800 ft elevation gain. Also the NK trailhead is about 1/2...
