Great photos and trip report! I am curious about the "lawn chairs".
You say they are very lightweight and comfortable and it looks like

Yeah, I think those chairs cost about $100 each. Mary's pack was only 20
pounds, maybe even lighter, including water. My old Kelty canvas pack must
weigh 8...

I felt that hermit was alot easier for me then B.A. ( I dislike that trail ) As for Granite it is avery nice place to just relax, or go for a quick swim....

Not very far (by most people's standards, a four hour heave with my heavy
pack and Southern feet, for me) from Phantom Ranch, up at the top of that
drainage...
