Pete,that loop is fantastic! My recommendations would be to wear long sleeve pants and shirts all the way through Dragon and to use the shortcut down to 94...

That is one nasty walk, close to 20 miles with a little route finding from the South Rim Village, out to Rowes Well, and then catching the road.
