That is a good first trip - but it will be hot! Be sure to apply for your
permit the first possible date because in the summer season those are
difficult...

packed snow on KT
Yes the snow was semi packed when I went down. No I did not use
crampons or any hiking aids. It was easy walking all the way to Oah
Aah Point.
