I think the NPS used to call all the unmaintained trails "abandoned" at one time. Of course some of them aren't as abandoned as they used to be 30-40 years...

Well, count me as one who says the west side of Tapeats Ck is "not bad"
but that crossing Tapeats Ck most definitely WAS a "problem" each time
