Pretty much agreeing with all of these points and it's still possible to miss a route since I would say it seems he was not actually "lost" -- in my own words...

I agree with Bob that it's very strange to get lost in Kwagunt after having gotten there from Indian Hollow Campground. If he went up Kwagunt from Jumpup,...
