As to the capability, I recall improvements being made to GC Airport to accommodate Air Force One as a 747. Can't recall the applicable times of year.

Only jets I remember regularly making runs to Grand Canyon Airport
were Hughes Air West (yep - Howard Hughes) with a daily flight there
from / to Las Vegas at...
