Lynn and I have only seen 3 snakes in all of our Canyon travels. One on
Upper Royal Arch that Lynn almost stepped on. Another near the trail off
Tanner. ...

Roy Rogers also had a snake encounter in the desert near his ranch in CA.
He was out riding one day on Trigger and a snake appeared and caused Trigger
to buck...

If you kill them while they're coiled and ready to strike they tend to be
tough. You also want to clean them and cool them right away.
