The Sanup Plateau is definitely below the rim--it's similar to the Esplanade, but more brushy and less slickrock. Is this what Steck was complaining about,...

If he did the trip in 1981 then it is not true that he was the FIRST continuous through trip but may have been first on north side as Kenton used the south....
