I doubt any but the most elite canyon hikers will go from Tanner to
Hance Rapid in a day... even more so if carrying supplies going to
Hermit... 2 would be...

safety of following the Tonto bench above the river. I went further

Quite a hike you have planned...and you say you have never hiked in the
inner canyon before? Make sure the rangers know where to send your pesonal
effects....

Jeff,
The upper part of the Tanner is north facing and shaded and often
retains patches of snow late into the Spring. The upper part of the
Hermit is...
