Actually he would have had to do the hike 6-7 years before when he did to be first to walk the length of Grand Canyon. Grua was the first continuous.

I think John Azar did a wonderful job in transcribing Robert's journal. I think it was no easy job. Those of us who knew Robert somewhat and are stil alive...

As others have said, the climb is after you get most of the way of the scree slope from the BACG, and you're at a little saddle, with a great view of lower BA...
