I prefer the Exum Guide also which is more like a boot but lighter and more flexible than a boot. Still more flexible than I prefer for expedition pack...

A couple friends have the La Sportiva Xplorer, and I envy the construction. The
uppers seem much better put together than my Five-Tens, and the rubber...
