I agree with Josh - I tend to drink more from the bladder than I did when just using bottles. I also like that the water is cooler from the bladder buried...

Interesting suggestion. Although, as I recall it is fairly windy on the Tonto and a gust at the wrong time could be fatal.

A big advantage of one gallon ziplocks in the spring- you can put snow in them & carry them near your back/neck & they melt as you hike along. I have done...
