The "Canyon" encompasses many worlds.
There are definitely coyote in Marble and Western Grand Canyon below the
rim. But even the rim itself changes...

I've never seen a live Coyote below the rim, but I did see a dead one below Pt. Huitzil, just above the hermit shale. Didn't look like a fall from the rim.

That's an interesting question. In all of my canyon travels I've seen a coyote in the canyon (near the river level) exactly once. There was no mistaking it...
