Sorry I misinterpreted your question. When you said Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim, I assumed you were not talking about a multi-day crossing. My mistake.

We will go down the SK to BA campground for one night then Cottonwood for the next night. Hike out to the north rim spend the night then back to the south rim...

Assuming I am interpreting your question correctly and assuming you're talking about the corridor trails ..... you shouldn't need any backcountry permit....
