Mike, I shot 350 photos this weekend and still had 1/2 battery. The trick is to not leave the screen on for too long and to power the camera off immediately...

I use the polycryo from GG with a Lightheart Solo. It has been durable enough but I doubt it provides as much protection as Tyvek would. It is much lighter...
