I've never used GPS to find a place in the GC. Don't need it because the terrain is so easy to match to a topo. I can see using GPS to find a couple of places...

After plugging in the coordinate for the top of the chute into my mapping program, I believe the datum used is NAD27. But I wouldn't count on these...
