Rangers are OK with hitching across; but not DOWN the river. They will give
citations for this if they catch.

at every side canyon on the way,...

Rafters will help you get across the river when they can, but can't
legally take you downriver. But it does happen sometimes. What's
wrong with hiking...

Is it possible for hikers to hitch rides with rafters? i'd like to
