The ones above the Supai Tunnel on the NK were slightly larger than a
black house fly but slower---you could swat them...
A some people say you don't...

I got bit by a couple of those buggers on the Tanner trail in April - they
actually draw blood and because they are so small and hard to see you can't
swat...
