I have seen alum used once before, but I've never used
it myself. I think the dose was about 1 tablespoon
per gallon. Shake vigorously and let settle. ...

Iodine? Yuck!!! Others think iodine doesn't taste at all, but I think it is

Any thoughts on the best method to filter water in the Grand Canyon.
