I've hiked the Deer/Tapeats loop 8 times in the last 12 years with
groups of 6 -11. I'd suggest you try to get an extra night at the
beginning of the hike...

I've been doing the same thing in Terrain Navigator Pro. One feature I
really like in Terrain Navigator is being able to switch between topo
map and aerial...

We have a company/outdoor gear store here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin that
still manufactures heavy duty canvas cabin-style tents. The sewing is
done in-house...

Your point is well taken.
Certainly many routes across the Canyon where know by the natives
prehistoricly and many lived within the Canyon for lifetimes...
