Looks like when you add up the cost of the "pop" every few weeks, the

I throw away the soda bottles after one or two uses. They cost
pennies if you buy a cheap soda (50-90 cents). I can't even imagine
using them for a year....

I used those soda bottles for some time for caches and frankly would
never use them on the trail. After less than a year or two they
crack and...
